License Upgrade

You may want to upgrade to multi-user or multi-lab license from the single-user or DEMO license. Follow the steps below for program upgrade and migration of the data from the single-user database file to multi-user database.

1. Uninstall E-MouseLab.
2. Download E-MouseLab multi-user/lab version. You can find the download link in the email with license code.
3. Install E-MouseLab following the steps here.
4. Run E-MouseLab "as Administrator". In the "SQL Server Setup" window, enter the server IP, then click next.
5. Install SQL Server, then click next.
6. Select MouseRoom.sdf file by clicking "Select Database File" in "Upgrade from Single-user or DEMO" panel, then click "Upgrade and Attach to SQL Server". New database files MouseRoom.mdf and MouseRoom_Log.ldf will be generated in the same folder containing MouseRoom.sdf.
7. Click next. Connect to server by entering license code.
8. Log in using the first name in the user information (if the first name is longer than 15 letters, the account name is the first 15 letters of the first name) with password blank. For demo database, log in using "demo" as user name and blank password.
9. Change user name and password in "My Profile" window.

Your database is now upgraded from single-user to multi-user version.
