Mouse Owner

E-MouseLab uses different rules to determine the owner and project of a live or dead mouse.

If a mouse is live:

The owner and project of the mouse are the same as the owner and project of the cage it belongs. You can't change the owner and project on mouse record after you put the mouse into a cage.

If a mouse is dead:

The owner and project on the mouse record are automatically updated to the owner and project of the cage when you enter the dead date of the mouse. After the mouse is dead, its owner and project inforamtion are not related to the cage any more and you can now change the owner and project on mouse record.

Tip: In most case you don't need to do anything on the owner and project information of mouse record.
